Scott AFB involved replacing all the airfield lighting systems for the main runway and most taxiways at Scott AFB, IL. The project involved the installation of 141 precast concrete manholes and handholes, 45,000 linear feet of concrete encased duct banks and 600,000 feet of various cable types. The approach on the North and South was completely replaced along with the PAPI system. The project at Scott AFB also involved boring under runways and taxiways to install new duct banks and new airfield pavements in selected areas. Webb Electric Company performed 80% of all work with its own forces, including the installation of all precast manholes, handholes, duct banks and cables.
