Qualifications
Employed by Webb Electric Company full time on June 16, 1978. Responsibilities as a general laborer consisted of pulling cable, trenching in PVC duct, 2" - 6"; placing concrete pads, manholes, handholes, and foundations, and being an electrician's helper. During this time, worked on jobs owned by the U.S. Government at the following bases: VA Hospital, Marion, Indiana; Department of the Army, Fort Belvoir, Virginia; Alexandria, Virginia; Department of the Navy, Jacksonville, Florida; Department of the Air Force, Vance Air Force Base, Enid, Oklahoma.
August, 1979, joined electrical apprenticeship program, Pensacola, Florida Chapter. Started as a journeyman electrician May, 1982. As a journeyman electrician, performed the responsibilities of 600 Volt single and three phase motor controls, installing 600 volt cables in conduit, installing conduit sizes ranging from 2" thru 6", trouble shooting circuits.
Medium Voltage Experience : Splicing and terminating of 35KV - 5KV cables, hypotential testing of primary cable, fireproofing medium voltage cable.
In 1983, assumed responsibilities of general superintendent. This job entails scheduling work assignments for trades, inspecting the quality and performance of these tasks, planning, and preparing for major power outages and shutdowns; keeping daily reports such as safety meetings, quality control plans; environmental protection plans; estimating change orders and managing field offices.
As General Manager/Project Manager/ Estimator responsibilities include but are not limited to: estimating, purchasing, planning, scheduling, coordination of projects ranging from $250,000 - $5,000,000, organizing crews and equipment, coordination with project managers and superintendents on scheduling jobs, time frames, and manpower. Setting wage rates, perdiems, planning equipment and material deliveries, estimating projects to bid, securing projects through negotiating RFP's and Sole Source Selection, general administrative duties, etc. |
